Farah Khosravi Lost Higher Post Due to Controversy Over Educational Degree

TEHRAN A contender for the presidential elections has been demoted by her boss for misrepresenting her educational degree.
According to the Persian weekly, Tehran-e Emrouz (Tehran Today) Ms. Farah Khosravi was working in the capacity of head of the Recruitment Office of Teachers' Training University.
She has been demoted and now works as a simple clerk, Tehran-e Emrouz wrote yesterday in its first issue.
It wrote that the media mentioned that she was a graduate, while, according to officials records, she is simply a diploma holder.
Ms. Farah, 40, recently announced her candidacy for the presidential elections, to be held next May. Just after the announcement, foreign and domestic media published a series of her interviews, in which it said that she held a university degree.
